Modern Robotic Actuators

High Efficiency Robotic Joints

We are at the beginning of a robotics revolution: Autonomous mobile robots, capable of physically interacting with the environment through mobile manipulation, will profoundly transform our everyday lives. Our mission is to accelerate this transformation through advanced, highly integrated and scalable modern actuator solutions.

| High Efficiency Joints

Highest Performance, Low Costs

The HEJ systems are highly integrated, advanced robotics quasi-direct drive (QDD) actuators designed for modern robotics or industrial applications. They offer the highest robustness, maximum integration density, and a scalable design. Thus, the development and testing costs of the robotic system can be reduced, while also obtaining a highly scalable system – minimizing total cost of ownership.

HEJ 90 Radial Axial
| Electric drives for robots

HEJ 90

Currently the largest HEJ system, it is designed with highly overtorque-rated and robust gears, and provides low overall losses. A true locomotion workhorse. Its radial and axial connector versions help reduce cabling nightmares.

HEJ 50

As the smallest member of the HEJ family, this unit was the most difficult to engineer, as all features needed to fit into this compact package. It offers flexible connector options and is well-suited for modern, mobile manipulation applications.

Autonomous mobile robots
Humanoids & Quadrupeds
Modern autonomous mobile robots operating in unstructured environments demand highly robust actuators that operate for years in harsh conditions. Combined with the need for scalable mobile manipulation, the HEJ platform is ideally suited for such robots.
Quasi-direct drives
Robotic Manipulation

Quasi-direct drives are an emerging trend for modern (mobile) manipulation applications, where backdrivability, torque sensing, and fine control are paramount. The HEJs excel in these areas.

Custom-made
Industrial Robots
The fully integrated HEJ actuators are a great building block for custom-made industrial robots, for example high-payload SCARA robots, where the output encoder accuracy of the HEJ systems is often sufficient.
Agricultural and construction robots
Wheel or Track Drives
Thanks to the IP67 protection and integrated cross-roller bearing, the HEJs can also be used as wheel drives, e.g., in agricultural or construction robots.
